About Us

Paul Hanson Partners was established in 1993 to provide risk management and insurance placement services to the transportation industry. Paul Hanson Partners quickly built a solid reputation in the insurance industry for our knowledge, understanding, and incredible efficiency of managing insurance programs.  Over the past several years, Zurich North American Insurance Company has experienced our ability to efficiently manage a profitable program and has partnered with us on our newest program, Biz Choice.  Biz Choice is underwritten by Zurich North American Insurance Company, rated A.M. Best “A XV”.

Biz Choice was established in 2007 to provide a monoline commercial auto insurance product to the artisan contractor and service industry.We have over 150 class codes ranging from plumbers and painters to cement trucks and wholesale distributors. Vehicle type exposures range from Light to Extra Heavy, including Truck Tractors and Semi-Trailers. The primary use of these vehicles is for transporting the insured’s personnel, tools, equipment, and incidental supplies to and from the job location.

More recently, we have expanded and have added a second branch to the program, Biz Choice Commercial Trucking Insurance. Paul Hanson Partners maintains marketing and underwriting duties for the Biz Choice Program from its corporate office in Napa, California, where we seek to maintain close contact with our select agents and insureds.  Our policy processing, billing and accounting functions are also handled from this California office.
